Jerry's Eggliners
JERRY’S TRAINS is a new creation by Jerry McKenzie with
entertainment for the little ones.
When ABTO built the Big modules for
the Big Guys in 2001, Ennis & Jerry wanted to do something for the kids.
Jerry developed tentative plans and took them to Dan Hoag; he brought the
layout to life. Jerry was a bit overwhelmed and called on Katie &
Glenn Sampson for advice and support. Our first setup was at the MLS
Live Steamers gathering in North Phoenix. At that time we found that
what we had planned did not work. Glenn & Jerry realized that we
needed to interact on the kids level. We referred back to our Cub
Scouting days of acting foolish while having fun with the kids and the
Chicken Man and the Spider Man were born. Jerry is a "HAM" at heart
and continues to take the fun to the next level and will escalate that
with an additional layout added to the original when we take the show to
the 2006 National Convention in Santa Clara, California. More
importantly, see the faces of the future railroaders having fun along with
us. The children may run, hands on, EGGLINERS to get
their engineer’s license.
